Mapping The Universe: with the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS Data Release 2)

An Astronomy documentary concerning recent progress in observational cosmology. This movie presents the story of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey's mapping of the galaxy distribution. It starts at the 2.5m SDSS telescope at Apache Point Observatory in New Mexico flies through the nearest stars, the galaxies and quasars mapped by the Survey, and finally through the Cosmic Microwave Backround mapped by WMAP. Finally it returns to the control room at Apache Point.
